A little more about who I am, less about what I do:
Ryan Kroening is the Principal consultant and owner of Events by Lady K. He was born and raised in in Ladysmith, Wisconsin (part of the inspiration for the name Lady K), and moved to the Twin Cities to attend the University of Minnesota. He completed a Bachelor of Individualized Studies degree in Cultural Anthropology, Design, and Family Social Sciences.
A music enthusiast, Ryan has been studying the French Horn for over 15 years. He has been playing with the Nokomis Winds Chamber Ensemble since 2005, and the Calhoun Isles Community Band since 2008; he also served on the CICB Board of Directors from 2010-2013. Ryan has also spent numerous hours volunteering with the Minnesota GLBTA Campus Alliance, The Aliveness Project, The National Gay & Lesbian Task Force, PFund Foundation, Project 515, OutFront MN, among others.
Ryan has dedicated much of his life, and subsequently his career, to creating a better world for all. He’s been active in many social movements working for change. He believes that cultural competency and diversity aren’t just good things to talk about but should be at the center of how we live.
He is also an avid reader, movie-watcher, and aspiring foodie and oenology (studying wine). His favorite color is Sparkle, he really likes frosting but not cake, loves nature and spending time at cabins on lakes but not actually camping, and is a big social introvert.
