Partnering with mission-driven organizations to create extraordinary mission-centered events.
Events are about more than just pretty decorations and tasty hors d’oeuvres; they should be centered on creating the best possible experience for attendees through the ability to engage with their surroundings, other attendees, and the presented or interactive content. To implement such an event takes an ability to balance attention to detail while not losing sight of the overall goals and essence of the event.
Every event is created in partnership with the client to ensure the unique experience is just that – truly one-of-a-kind! We believe that each and every attendee should feel welcomed, celebrated, and included as part of your gathering. Our approach to planning centers accessibility and diversity and aspires to a Universal Design framework where those most marginalized and forgotten are the focal point, not an afterthought.
What is the Double Bottom-Line? Why We are a General Benefit Corporation.
As a socially conscious company, Events by Lady K became a general benefit corporation in 2016. As a general benefit corporation Events by Lady K seeks to maximize business opportunities while maximizing community impact. When we say “bringing people together to further good work” it has double meaning for every event we work on.
Our clients’ missions are furthered by raising more funds for their cause or engaging more community members in their efforts and Events by Lady K increases that impact by giving back to the community around us. It is our goal to create a community where all members are welcomed and celebrated; this means taking on clients whose mission is creating a more fair and equitable community while contributing a portion of our resources back to the community.
Events by Lady K is 100% LGBT-owned, is an active member of Quorum– Twin Cities LGBT Business Center, and is certified by the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC). Additionally, Events by Lady K has worked almost exclusively with women, people of color, LGBTQ, and or mission-focused sub-contractors on all of the company’s events.
